Wednesday, September 15, 2021, between 18.00 and 20.00, the first of the testing days of the innovative product MED3D took place at the headquarters of the Techinnova incubator – Via Giovanni Durando, 38 (Milan).

The participants were able to experience a very high technology software platform, characterized by the use of Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence not only for training and education, but also for diagnostic purposes and surgical simulations. Each of the participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a virtual environment at 360 degrees, in which they were able to interact with the heart and the instruments of the operating room: it was sufficient to wear a helmet with a visor and grab a pair of triggers, and then begin to operate in a virtual environment as a real surgeon equipped with a scalpel.

As was to be expected – given the high technological content of the MED3D product – the software platform generated enthusiasm and amazement among those present. But critical comments were also appreciated, since it is precisely these that provide our team of researchers with the necessary feedback for constant improvement of the software: opinions and evaluations have already proved to be constructive and indispensable for the continuation of activities.

The goal is to bring as many people as possible in our “virtual operating room”: hoping to involve as many actors in the world of Innovation, we will keep you updated on the calendar of the next testing days.
